Delete Your Account

You can delete your MyCareerBot account and associated server-side data. Local data on your device can be removed by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage in device settings.
1. Delete from the app (recommended)
Settings → Delete account calls our server API to remove account-linked records (profile sync, entitlements, leaderboard entries, college batch link, partner attribution tied to your user ID) subject to legal retention requirements such as payment audit logs.
2. Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email support@mycareerbot.in from the address linked to your account (Google/Apple sign-in email). Subject line: Account deletion request. Include your display name and approximate sign-up date. We will verify ownership and complete deletion within 30 days.
3. What is deleted vs retained
- Deleted: user account row, OAuth linkage, synced progress tied to the account, entitlements, attribution row, batch membership tied to your user ID.
- May be retained: aggregated cohort statistics that no longer identify you; payment transaction records required for tax/audit; support correspondence for dispute resolution.
4. Purchases
Deleting your account does not automatically refund prior purchases. See our Refund Policy. Store purchases may remain on your Apple/Google account history.
5. Parent/guardian requests
Parents or guardians may request deletion of a minor’s account by emailing support@mycareerbot.in with subject “Minor account deletion” and sufficient details to locate the account.
