Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the MyCareerBot mobile application and related web tools (collectively, the “Service”) operated by MyCareerBot (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using paid features, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility

The Service is intended for students and parents/guardians in India. Users under 18 must use the Service under parental supervision and complete any required consent steps in the app before server sync.

2. Educational use only

MyCareerBot provides career exploration, aptitude practice, admission planning using historical data, and placement-readiness tools. Nothing in the Service guarantees admission, rank, job offer, interview shortlist, or placement. Outputs are informational and based on your inputs and historical datasets where applicable.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for activity on your account. Sign-in may be required for purchases, leaderboard, college batch linking, and sync. You may delete your account as described on our Account deletion page.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

• Apple App Store: purchases follow Apple’s terms; manage subscriptions in iOS Settings.
• Google Play / Android: certain digital unlocks are completed via Razorpay checkout as shown in-app.
• Prices, features, and product names may change; legacy purchases remain restorable where supported.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy and applicable store rules.

5. College batches and partner codes

Optional college batch codes link you to an institutional cohort. Aggregate readiness may be shared with your college by default; sharing your name or score requires explicit opt-in. Optional partner/referral codes attribute signups to a counselor or institution; attribution is stored server-side and disclosed in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer or abuse the Service, upload unlawful content, misrepresent affiliation with JoSAA/NTA/MCC, or share college batch or partner dashboard access keys publicly.

7. Intellectual property

The app, question bank, branding, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service for personal educational purposes.

8. AI-generated content

AI-assisted narratives and suggestions may contain errors. You should verify important decisions independently. AI output is not professional legal, medical, or counselling advice.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM LIABILITY FOR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR INR 1,000 IF NO PAYMENT).

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Pune, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer protection remedies.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after the updated date constitutes acceptance of material changes where permitted by law.
